You have to watch the set screws on the pins and make sure that they are good and snug.
Be careful to keep the pins seated in the holes and the tool level so that the pins did not pull out of the cap’s holes.

This wrench is fully adjustable to fit hydraulic cylinders on vehicles having gland nuts from 1" to 3-3/4" in diameter.
