    Description

    Original Paint & Cork WWII U.S. Army M-1 Helmet Untouched Front Seam Swivel Loop.
    A very good pre D-Day helmet.
    Serial is 808A so it is an early 1944 production McCord.
    OD 3 chin strap.
    Chin strap buckle is the flat variation made of iron alloy and introduced in 1943 to spare brass.
    The J hook is the square type.
    Stainless steel rim.
    I would say above 95% of the paint is present and cork.
    One small stress facture on the back left see picture.
