    Description

When I worked at Tech Hi-Fi this was our best selling premium turntable for good reason....QUALITY.
If you value your vinyl collection and want to hear it at it's very best this is the turntable to get. Fully functional and in great condition with a mounted Shure cartridge (unsure of the Shure model # but it sounds great). The counter weight is not the original. Check out the photos for any wear or marks. The smoked plexiglass top has minor scratches which can be buffed out but no cracks which is rare. Asking price on E-Bay is 0-0 I do not want to ship it. About the SL-1300 In 1972, Technics introduced the now-legendary SL-1200. The direct-drive turntable was originally intended for the consumer hifi market, but quickly became a favorite among disco club DJs. It’s high torque motor, excellent isolation, and durability made it ideally suited for professional use, and the SL-1200 in it’s various iterations (most notably the SL-1200MK2) remains a DJ classic to this day. Following on the success of the SL-1200, Technics introduced the SL-1300 in 1974, adding convenience features more suited to the home hifi market and creating another instant classic in the process. With features like automatic start and stop, memory-repeat, size selection, and a high-precision gimbal suspension tonearm the SL-1300 represents the best of the Technics brand in the mid ‘70s. An interesting component on the SL-1300 is the motor. Unlike previous designs, on this turntable, the platter is actually a part of the motor, with the base serving as the motor stator. This innovation adds speed-stability and reliability to the SL-1300, as evidenced by so many happy owners still spinning them 45 years after they were first introduced. Local pick up only. Thanks
