UNISSUED, Near Mint Condition Front Seam Stainless Steel Rim Schluter M1 Helmet. Comes with UNISSUED Near Mint Condition Westinghouse liner with Unpainted A-Washers and OD3 Webbing which has an UNISSUED Mint Condition "Buckle Has Never Been Clamped Down" Leather Chinstrap as well as a mint unissued VOGT Sweatband and Nape Strap! The liner still has mold marks. THIS SET IS LIKE BRAND NEW!
This set is exactly as it would have been issued to troops. Soldiers were issued a helmet and liner and the sweatband and nape strap were issued as part of his "Uniform" and the GI would then install his "hygienic" sweatband and nape on the lid he was issued. You will receive the helmet, liner, liner chinstrap AND the sweatband and nape strap.
Helmet is a Schluter heat lot 303A. Has OD7 Chinstraps with the proper blackened steel buckle and pawl.
This set comes with the original waffle paper wrapping. One piece goes between the liner and the helmet and the other piece goes on the top of the helmet to protect it from the helmet stacked on top of it.
This set has been in storage for decades so there is a few small storage marks. See pictures. There are a few spots on the stainless steel rim where just being stored has caused some very minor paint loss. (We all know SS rims are prone to this and is why Uncle Sam went to the manganese rims.)
