Q:Will this work on a smartphone?
A:Yes.I can use it to directly hook my Nexus 6P up to a flash drive, for example.
Q:Will this fit my portable battery charger and smart phone?
A:No. You need a traditional USB male adapter to USB Type-C. This is for connecting a keyboard, mouse, USB-stick, etc to your phone.
Q:My laptop has a usb type-c port. if i connect this to that port, will i be able to use a mouse that uses a standard usb-a connection?

A:No. This is for the 12" Retina-display Macbook, which uses a single USB C port for everything (including its power supply). The IPad Air 2 uses a LIGHTNING connector, which is different from USB C, and proprietary Apple tech.
Q:Can this cable be used on iphone8?
A:No. iPhone 8 uses a lightning cable. So without an adapter this will not work.
Q:Will the work with LG V30 phone?
A:It works on the lg 5 and 6 you can check and see if your phone uses a type c cable.
