we now offer a Zero-Mod Thumb Rest for Fender Style Jazz Bass! (see our listings for the Black Edition)
This requires
NO modifications
to your Jazz Bass, and gives you the range and reach of the classic Fender rest.
If you have a Jazz without the factory rest, and without the holes in the guard to add one, this is for you!
Easy on - Easy off.....Uses the existing pickguard mounting holes on your Jazz (see the pics).
Do you find there's not enough "meat" to grab onto from the neck pickup,  because it's set so far down into the
body? Do you have a Jazz without the factory provided mounting holes? Do you want to keep the resale
value of your Geddy Lee Edition (or another model) and not "muck it up" ?
Made of clear top quality polycarbonate on precision CNC machinery - NOT molded.
Right here in the USA in a NY machine shop.
Comes with two slightly longer screws that account for the thickness of the rest,
it doesn't even change the screw holes of your bass.

Will it fit my Jazz Bass????
Please see the pic of the Jazz guard outline to make sure your pickguard screw pattern will allow the Zero-Mod to fit.

Fender Squier, and many others including many high end Jazz basses from other makers depending on model year
BUT
-
Look
to see
if your guard has the two holes in the same locations as the guard in the picture.
2 and 3/16th inches apart.
It WILL NOT FIT any other pattern!
If you have a guard screw OVER the neck pickup or just to a bit the side of it  - Will NOT FIT!

There are MANY variations on the Jazz guard...  We hope to someday accommodate all of them.
Why does it cost so much ???
This is not a hollow mass production molded in China unit, it's specifically designed for this bass guard and made on professional CNC machines in small batches here in the USA.  It's solid and has a feel 3D printing and molding can't give you.(IMHO)
